Aftereffects of Exposure to High Levels of Radiation

First, the effects are being seen from the high levels of radiation due to the reactor leak following the earthquake in Japan. Thanks to Dan Brickley for presenting this video about a bunny whose mutations can be traced to radiation exposure in the womb.

Now, some of the victims of the Chernobyl disaster, many of whom emerged from the womb terribly deformed.

I would like to thank the video's creator for presenting this information. As for people like SuperDean1993 who think such suffering is funny because he is not one of them--no, you are something far worse. It's pathetic that most of the comments here are insensitive, stupid, and inane. It is a sad comment on the human race.

Although some scientists tout nuclear energy as being "clean," I do not think that nuclear reactors can ever be a safe form of energy delivery. It would be far better to concentrate on technologies such as solar. Nuclear poses far too many risks.

Just for Fun Geekiness

Your result for The RPG Class Test...

Mystic Theurge

33% Combativeness, 10% Sneakiness, 74% Intellect, 72% Spirituality
Brilliant and spiritual! You are a Mystic Theurge!

Score! You have a prestige class. A prestige class can only be taken after you've fulfilled certain requirements. This may mean that you're an exceptionally talented person, but it probably doesn't.

The Mystic Theurge is a combination of a cleric and a mage. They can cast both arcane and divine spells, and are good at both, making them pretty terrifying on the battlefield. They have more raw spellpower than just about any other class.

You're both intelligent and faithful, but not violent or deceitful. I guess that makes you a pretty good person.
Take The RPG Class Test at HelloQuizzy

If I could, I would want to be a spellworker of some sort. It seems the most enjoyable, plus I don't really enjoy hand to hand combat.

Faycin Gets Stoned: the Pariah's Thoughts on Reincarnation Part I

I was inspired to create this blog after reading a post on a blog that I like regarding the fear of death. Now, the blog's creator is a Christian, as, it seems, are most of her readers. I don't imagine she'd attack me for my thoughts, she doesn't seem the type. However, I'm not sure about her other followers, and so my comment on her post read a little bit something like this:

Well, this will make me a pariah that everyone will throw sticks and stones at, but I'm good at that. The only thing that makes sense to me with the whole death and what happens beyond it, other than non-existence following the death of the body, is reincarnation. Because energy doesn't ever cease to exist, it simply transmutes into another form. It's sort of like a radio wave. When a given transmitter "dies," the radio wave does not cease to exist, but finds another transmitter to operate through.
Now, let the throwing of sticks and stones begin.

Here are some thoughts on reincarnation from the New Zealand Hare Krishna Spiritual Network and another piece from the Himalaya Academy.

Welcome

Leonard Nimoy and I are going In Search of Stuff!
Leonard

Faycin

Ok, sorry, you actually don't get Leonard, just me. But you see me spying with my little eye from behind my hair. I'm watching you suckers!

I made this blog so I could go back to thinking about and exploring the mysteries of life, the Universe, and everything.

I don't accept pat answers and I don't go on faith very much of the time. And when it comes to life and death and whether or not any part of us that means anything survives the death of the body, well, the truth is, nobody knows for sure. So let's not be douchebags when we discuss it. It's fine to say "well, I'm a Christian and I believe that when we die our souls go to heaven or hell depending on how we behaved in life," or "I'm an atheist and I do not believe in the existence of a soul," but to say "you're going to Hell because you have not accepted Christ as your savior" or "if you believe in a soul you are stupid," is pretty damn petty and unproductive and I'm not having it. If I'm in a mood to do so I'll probably make fun of you. If I'm not, I'll just delete your bullshit.

I was happiest when I was considering possibilities and trying things and exploring the mysteries of the world around us and the world beyond. So yeah, I'm gonna do that shit. And if Leonard ever wants to join me, he's more than welcome.

You're welcome too. Let's do this!
